CAPS Information

The CAPS (Club Action Planning Scheme) scheme was introduced to provide netball clubs with a structure and plan for development, which has the player as its primary focus.   Its aim is to assist netball clubs in providing the best quality service for members by creating an appropriately qualified work force of coaches, umpires and administrators.  As a CAPS affiliated club we are able to offer development opportunities to players, coaches and umpires, and help towards achieving qualifications. As well as encouraging development, CAPS also involves paying attention to the clubs duty of care towards children in particular, and to be accessible to all.

The club was awarded Gold CAP status in October 2009, and have successfully renewed the award in 2013.

As a Gold CAPs club it is recognised that we have demonstrated a commitment to ensuring a club environment which provides a higher quality of coaching, leadership and volunteer opportunities for young people.

If you would like to read more about CAPs please see the information on the England Netball and Netball Southwest web sites.
